Paths to Scale case studies

Project credits: Paths to Scale was published by Nesta, in partnership with Startup Europe. The report was designed by Bond & Coyne. The principal authors are Denise Van Blitterswijk, Christopher Haley and Jessica Febvre, with case studies produced by Rebecca Burn-Callander, me and Will Freeman.

My contribution: I wrote case studies on FacePhi, Mynaric, mySugr and Viberate for the report, following interviews with the companies’ founders. The case studies look at the routes the founders took to grow their businesses, particularly how they funded this growth, what made them choose (or not choose) specific funding options, what the fundraising processes involved, the lessons they’ve learned along the way and some of the key decision points that shaped the growth of their businesses.
